Volkswagen Type 1 Project

Okay, so this is the story of my brother's and my 1970 Volkswagen Beetle.
Technically, I am the third owner of this wonderful little car. My Grandma was the second owner, and I still have the original invoice (see below) from the first owner of the car. My Grandma bought the car in the '80s and my brother and I started working on the car around 2000. The car has been in Florida almost its entire life (with the ocassional trip my Grandma took up to her hometown in Michigan; and who knows where else to).

As I said, my brother Matt and I started working on the car in December 2000. We were both still under 18, and living with our parents (obviously) in central Florida. Of course, neither of us had jobs at the time, so money wasn't exactly flowing in. Therefore, most of the work we did to the Beetle was labor-oriented as opposed to buying new parts. This involved things like major clean-up, rust-inhibition, tinkering, and anything else we could do to help the Bug without spending money. Luckily for the most part, we kept a journal of our progress, which I have diligently digitized into a webpage, available here.
